Leatherback Spotted!

My best friend down in Southport called me this morning to let me know that once again she was blessed to encounter another awesome sight from the sea.

An 8+ foot long, Leatherback Sea Turtle, was spotted yesterday at the Oak Island Lighthouse.  As of 7 this morning, she has slowly made her way down to the westend of the Island.  Locals are ecstatic to be blessed with such a rare sight, and people from all over the state have gotten wind of the occurrence, and are reportedly making their way down to see the awesome display of one of God’s great creations … the largest species of sea turtles on Earth.

Enjoy the pics!
